About Udfordringen
Udfordringen (meaning The Challenge) is a Christian weekly paper. The editorial office of the paper is placed in Christiansfeld, a small town about 15 km south of Kolding, but the paper covers the whole country thanks to freelance journalists based in the principal parts of Denmark (Copenhagen/Zealand, Aarhus, Aalborg and Bornholm).

Udfordringen is an independent and interdenominational paper publishing articles about both free churches and the Danish National Church (Folkekirken). The paper is financed exclusively out of income from subscriptions and advertisements, making it independent of both churches and organisations.

To begin with, in 1973, Udfordringen was some kind of tract. Later it became a newspaper, published on a monthly basis, until Henri Nissen, the present editor, and Bent Dahl in 1985 changed it into a weekly paper. Since that time Udfordringen has appeared on a weekly basis and is today (2004) published in 7,000 copies with an estimated readership of 25,000 people.

Udfordringen wants to promote the Christian ethic and a Christian view on culture and society of today.
Udfordringen believes that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God, as it is witnessed and explained in The New Testament.
 

Sur Udfordringen
Udfordringen (le Défi) est un journal hebdomadaire chrétien publié pour des chrétiens danois. La rédaction du journal est située à Christiansfeld, une petite ville environ 15 km au sud de Kolding, mais il couvre le royaume entier du Danemark - grâce à des journalistes free-lances domiciliés par tout le Danemark (à Copenhague/Seeland, Aarhus, Aalborg et Bornholm).

Udfordringen est un journal indépendant et interdénominational publiant des articles sur les églises libres et sur l'Eglise Nationale du Danemark (Folkekirken). Les recettes viennent exclusivement d'abonnements et d'annonces, ce qui fait que le journal est indépendant tant d'églises que d'organisations.

Au commencement - en 1973 - Udfordringen était une espèce de tract chrétien. Plus tard il fût changé en un journal mensuel et enfin, en 1985, le rédacteur présent, M. Henri Nissen, et M. Bent Dahl, un corédacteur ancien, ont proposé de changer Udfordringen en un journal hebdomadaire. Depuis lors l'Udfordringen a été un journal hebdomadaire et aujourd'hui (2004) il est publié en 7.000 exemplaires avec un nombre de lecteurs estimatif  de 25.000.

Udfordringen tiens beaucoup à promouvoir l'éthique chrétienne et une vue chrétienne sur la culture et la société d'aujourd'hui.
Udfordringen croît que Jésus est Christ, le Fils de Dieu, comme il est affirmer et expliquer dans le Nouveau Testamente.
